Andreas bought Scaldis late in 2004, and came back to Monterey in 2005 to sail her back to Australia. Andrea left Monterey in July after almost 3 months of getting her ready to make the journey. He sailed back with his parents and Charlotte. His wife Katherine stayed back in Australia with their younger child Alice. 

 

Andreas arrived in Australia around the 4th of November 2005. He sailed from Monterey to Hilo, to Fanning Island, to the Tokelaus (Fakaofo)...where they were not happy to see them arrive. They only anchored there for a few hours. From there they went to Wallis island where in complete contrast they couldn't care less whether they cleared in or not. From there onto Fiji (Levuka, then Suva), New Caledonia (Noumea), Lord Howe (easy clearance port into Australia), Eden (NSW), finally to Tasmania.
