Exciting news!  The 1960 owners (Michell Family) of Scaldis found us on line and contacted us!  Scaldis was purchased in Holland around 1960 by Paul and Patricia Cornell. They took their two children Paul and Lauren on sailing adventures in the Mediterranean and The Balearic Islands. They then sailed Scaldis to England and went down the canals of France.

Around mid 1960's they had Scaldis shipped on a freighter to California. They sold Scaldis in Los Angeles around 1965. Lauren was 5 and her brother Paul was 8 when they first started sailing on Scaldis.  More stories to come. 

 

Below are some early pictures Lauren sent me.  The binnacle you see was on her deck and her father kept this binnacle when they sold Scaldis. We don't know why she had two binnacles.
