We found one of the original Scaldis owners!
 

Lex Grootenhuis's Father was a nephew of the second owner of Scaldis , he was a Grootenhuis as well . He sold Scaldis to Cornell family around the 1960 . Lex is currently in contact with his daughter Mrs Van Stratum - Grootenhuis who lives in England. Lex is the owner of the 12ft dinghy named Scaldis as well, and he learned sailing when he was about 10 years old in this dinghy , which was given to me by his grandfather.
